KidneyX Sustainability Prize
The KidneyX Sustainability Prize will award up to $7.25 million for innovations to reduce water or power used during dialysis. HHS calls for solutions that reduce those resources used in dialysis.

Artificial Kidney Prize, Phase 2
AKP Phase 2 aims to accelerate development of an artificial kidney from the regenerative medicine, cellular and tissue engineering, and systems and synthetic biology communities
Artificial Kidney Prize, Phase 1
This competition helped accelerate the development of artificial kidneys toward human clinical trials
COVID-19 Kidney Care Challenge
This competition strove to reduce transmission among people with kidney diseases and/or the risk of kidney damage in those who contract it
Redesign Dialysis, Phase 2
This competition focused on prototype solutions or solution components that could replicate normal kidney functions or improve dialysis access.
Patient Innovator Challenge
This competition allowed people with kidney diseases to propose experienced-based ideas for improving therapeutic options and quality of life (sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation)
Redesign Dialysis, Phase 1
This competition proposed solutions or solution components of next-generation dialysis products to improve patient quality of life
